I am originally from the Monterey Bay area in California. Growing up, I was always curious about how the world worked and loved solving problems. That curiosity led me to pursue a degree in Physics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. During my senior year, I completed a thesis project in astronomy—and I’ve been hooked ever since.
After graduating, I joined the Fisk–Vanderbilt Master’s-to-PhD Bridge Program, where I earned my M.S. in Physics with a focus in astrophysics. I am now a PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University, studying stellar-mass and intermediate-mass black holes in the context of LISA and LIGO.
I live in Nashville, Tennessee with my partner, Ryan, and our three cats Waffles, Boo, and Link. When I’m not doing research, I enjoy reading (my brain says I have too many books, but my heart disagrees), hiking, and playing video games.
